Who are your heroes?

Powerline noted last week that Iran honored a man for his part in a terrorist act nearly 30 years ago, including killing a four year old girl by smashing her head with his rifle butt.

Today in Minnesota, the Governor ordered all state flags to fly at half staff in remembrance of The Four Chaplains, who perished in WWII when they gave away their life jackets on a sinking ship to four soldiers.

Iran honored a man for his hatred and murder of a child because she was a Jew.

Minnesota honored four men of three different religions who spent their last minutes in this life praying to God to spare the soldiers and sailors on the ship with them.

The people that a country or culture chooses to call heroes tells you a lot about that country.
