The Fourth Rail is reporting, via the Iraqi military, that Abu al Masri, the top dog for AQI, has been captured. It's too soon to tell if this is the real deal, as he has been reported as captured or killed before. But if it's for real, this represents the capture of the head of AQI, a man who reports directly to Bin Laden. And, by the way, a man who would likely still be free and on a murdering rampage if not for the Surge.
I predict a deafening silence from the mainstream media on this.
