Asleep at the wheel at USA Today

What's this? http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/iraq/2007-01-14-police-recruits_x.htm Good news out of Iraq that made it through the MSM's censors? In truth I don't read USA Today (not available in Iraq for some reason) and I don't surf their website. So I shouldn't lump them in with the rest without cause. But good news being reported out of Iraq is very rare, and it just doesn't reflect the situation on the ground. Most of the headlines come out of Baghdad, but people back in the States don't make that distinction. They assume that all of Iraq is on fire and in total chaos because that is the impression that they get from TV and newspapers. Liberals will go into a tantrum when they see polling data that shows a large percentage of Americans believe Iraq was directly involved in the 9/11 attacks. But just as many seem ignorant about the actual situation in Iraq. Maybe the lesson here is that a large member of Americans are just plain ignorant.
