Hope and Change

At the monthly meeting of my VFW post tonight, I went out on a limb and proposed that the post create a website to attract new members. Since I am the youngest member by a good 20 years, i volunteered to do the work myself. I was expecting some dirty looks if not outright disapproval.

Instead I saw nearly every member nodding his head in agreement, and half of the guys came up after the meeting to thank me for speaking up. To say that I was amazed would be an understatement.

Of course, now I have to build a website that will attract new members while still being accessible to the old guard. Hmm, this could be a lot of work.
